Who Was Al-Kindi?
Born in Kufa during the 9th century, Ya'qub ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi was one of history's greatest scholars.
A philosopher, physician, chemist, mathematician and musician, he authored more than 260 works across numerous fields of knowledge.
Among them was one of the earliest books dedicated entirely to perfumes and aromatic distillation, introducing scientific methods that would shape fragrance making for centuries.
